A southern California native, music aficionado and former film & television professional, Sammi created Unicorn Coffee Co, when she had relocated to Georgia after battling a sudden diagnosis of Kidney Disease, while living in Southern California. Sammi had spent 4 years living in Oregon recieving dialysis treatments for her kidney disease while actively taking drastic measures to secure herself a kidney donor. During her time on Dialysis Sammi remembers the one thing that kept her going was her weekly coffee treat from her favorite coffee shop. When the time had come to that she could be listed as "active" on the donor recipient list, Sammi took measures into her own hands and produced a video posted on TikTok dressed as a rainbow colored unicorn asking for anyone who would consider donating a kidney to save her life. The power of social media proved to be in her favor and her video laded on the screen of one very special woman who was a perfect match as her living donor.During the development stages , she took into consideration her own personal struggles with maintaining the dietary restrictions and dairy intake. She implemented her own experiences to create the menu that included all options readily available at no extra cost to the consumer, to ensure that everyone could enjoy the finest cup of coffee, made with all natural ingredients, no matter what they are dealing with in their daily lives.
